Project Highlights The Fraser Valley Child Development Centre (FVCDC) is the primary provider of services for children with developmental needs in the Fraser Valley. Its former website had fallen into disrepair and had not been updated in years and so the FVCDC decided to build a completely new site. With a staff of over 100 professionals working out of four centres offering dozens of programs and services, building an effective, visitor-friendly website presented several challenges. Our responsibilities included: • Meeting with the Executive Officer and HR Officer to determine the broad scope of the project • Administering a Website Specification survey / questionnaire to designated stakeholders within the fvcdc, compiling the results, and creating a blueprint to guide the website development team. • Working as part of the website development team with designer Vince Dimmano of www.deepbluecreative.com • Liaising with several department heads to develop content. • Writing new copy and editing existing material • Providing creative input on the design elements and architecture of the site.
