Crafting words has always been a passion for me.
What’s the attraction? The many creative aspects appeal to me. Sometimes I feel like a sculptor. And then there is the plain satisfaction of doing a job well, of communicating effectively. Dorothy Sayers says it best. “Once you get it right in writing, you feel like God on the Seventh Day.”
I’ve received great professional training from the Writing and Publishing Program (WPP) at Simon Fraser University. I completed three Certificates: Editing; Publishing; and Business Writing, Public Relations, and Marketing Communications.
As a member of the Editors Association of Canada, I continue my professional development at their great workshops. And because I enjoy helping people write their memoirs and life stories, I'm a member of the Association of Personal Historians.
